2012 Casino Del Sol College All Star Game
The Casino Del Sol College All Star Game is presented by Casino Del Sol. The organizers of the event, the Tucson Padres, along with key constituents from sponsors and a committed and skilled advisory board, have ensured successful event coordination, corporate development, game operation management, and hospitality for the first year of the Casino Del Sol All Star Game.
These organizers, have invaluable an combination of wealth of experience, integrity, and history of business and personal acheivements necessary to execute and manage a first class event. The bio of the officers are listed below:
Joe Dan Rogers - Rogers joins the team as Vice President for Football Operations handling all aspects of football for the "Game". Rogers has spent the last several seasons with St Vincent Sports Performance in Indianapolis handling elite performance and the NFL Pre-combine Program.
The former Executive Director for the Hula Bowl has had a diverse career in football. Prior to joining the Hula Bowl, Rogers was a scout for the Atlanta Falcons which featured 2002 NFC Championship game where the Falcons were beaten by the Philadelphia Eagles.
As an assistant coach Rogers spent time with Alabama, TCU, Brown and Middle Tennessee State. Rogers earned 2 letters as a defensive back for the Oklahoma Sooners and was Academic All Big 12 in 1997. Rogers and his wife Courtney reside in Atlanta with their 2 young daughters.
Mike Feder -
Mike Feder, VP & General Manager of the Tucson Padres, brings nearly three decades of baseball executive management experience. He is currently the Managing Partner of Tucson Triple-A Baseball, LLC (Tucson Padres). Feder was the VP/GM of the Tucson Sidewinders and Tucson Toros from 1989 – 2000. In 2001 he went to the NFL with the New Orleans Saints for five years as Director of Regional Sales & Marketing.
Mike’s more recent Tucson positions included the Executive Director of the Pima County Sports & Tourism Authority (PCSTA), and Executive Director of the Tucson Police Foundation. He has made a tremendous commitment to the Tucson community in his 16 years in town. He currently serves on the board of directors of the Tucson Police Foundation, Metropolitan Tucson Convention & Visitors Bureau (MTCVB), Father’s Day Council, and Handmaker Foundation. He is also a member of the Caballeros Del Sol. The bottom line is that he believes in Tucson and will do anything need to give back to his community!
Feder also received some local recognition: in 1998 he was inducted into Pima County Sports Hall of Fame, and in 1997 received the Conquistadors Award for long and meritorious service to the Tucson sports community.
